The Community of municipalities of Southern Corsica (CCSC) is a public institution for inter-municipal cooperation (EPCI). It is located in Corsica (France) in the Department of Southern Corsica. Its head office is in Porto-Vecchio. It employs 80 people.
The 7 municipalities of CCSC are responsible for the public schools established on their territory. They can organize complementary educational, sporting and cultural activities within the schools.
Many initiatives were implemented concerning: clean mobility, the Climate Air Energy Plan (PCAET), Waste management, reduction of energy consumption, photovoltaic power generation, distribution of LED lamps, clean mobility with electric bicycles, management of aquatic environments and flood prevention and many others topics again…
The CCSC has been awarded the Positive Energy Territory for Green Growth label. In France, Positive Energy Territory for Green Growth refers to the winning territories of the call for initiatives launched by the Ministry of the Environment, Energy and the Sea on September 4, 2014.
