The Project
The project “Inclusive and Sustainable Tourism Gamification in School Education” aims to:
Promote ecological attitudes and behavior for school students through the approach of the gamification
Improve school teachers’ competences in favoring pro-environmental behaviors in the school setting
Increase the general awareness in schools and professionals sectors to be more inclusive for staff members and guests with disability
Empower students with disabilities by increasing their skills, competences and self-esteem
The Practical Guide
The Practical Guide for Ecological and Inclusive Tourism for School Teachers is a manual dedicated to the education and training of school teachers, especially in relevant sectors for tourism (Hotel School, Tourism schools, Economic schools).
A serious management game based on the simulation to manage an hotel in which problematic dilemmas in terms of hospitality, management, inclusion and sustainability are proposed.
The students, through the exposition to several decision making tasks is encouraged in adopting sustainable and inclusive behavior. The creation of this project result will be based on the realistic simulation based on scientific and on field research.
A dedicated set of guidelines in 150 pages called School Education Guidelines for Hotel Schools dedicated to the promotion on inclusive and Sustainable Tourism, in order to favor transnational comparisons and exchange of good practices among schools in Europe.
